Saturday’s Keynote speaker will be Dr. Jim Henry, this nation's leader in childhood trauma. We are also excited to welcome the CASA Quarterbacks direct from Richland County CASA in South Carolina. They will speak to volunteer recruitment and retention! It will be an action packed weekend of networking, learning and fun!

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jim HenryMichigan CASA is excited to announce Dr. Jim Henry as our keynote speaker on Saturday morning at the State Conference! Dr. Henry is a co-founder and project director for the Western Michigan University Children's Trauma Assessment Center. He has a professional history that includes more than 17 years as a child welfare and protective services worker. He has been a professor in WMU's School of Social Work for 15 years, with a focus on developing and providing trauma-informed instruction in the social work curriculum.
Dr. Henry has trained more than 50,000 professionals, caregivers, and community members on child maltreatment and trauma-informed practices. He recently has developed a secondary trauma training focusing on understanding the impact of secondary trauma, grief and building resiliency.
