The Recruitment Coordinator is accountable to Child Advocacy and is responsible for ensuring outcomes of the CASA program are achieved. Specific Duties or Job Responsibilities
Volunteer recruitment and screening. Development of recruitment strategies to ensure a diverse volunteer force
CASA Training Coordinatior
Technical assistance and support to volunteers
Strict adherence to NCASA and MI CASA standards, laws, DHHS regulations, and state/local court rules
Compile and maintain appropriate database and relevant statistics for grant and program reporting
Serve as a spokesperson for CASA
Act in professional manner at all times
Effectively communicate agency’s and CASA’s programs/mission to the public
Promote and advocate for the program and children served throughout the community
Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 2 years human service experience
Knowledge and understanding of issues and dynamics within families in crisis relating to child abuse and neglect
Knowledge and/or experience with child abuse, child protection, and the court system is preferred, but not required
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Good understanding of community resources and community needs
Public speaking experience
May be required to travel for trainings and conferences
May be required to work weekends and evenings when necessary

Added September 12, 2017 Position: Montcalm County CASA Volunteer Supervisor Job Description Assists the CASA Coordinator in all aspects of program administration with an emphasis on volunteer coordination, case management, and community and public relations. Specific Duties or Job Responsibilities
Recruit, screen, interview, and select new volunteers.
Schedule and implement new volunteer training sessions and court observation time per CASA program requirements.
Assist in planning and implementing monthly volunteer meetings.
Assist Program Coordinator in preparing annual volunteer evaluations.
Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
Review new cases and assign appropriate volunteers.
Assist volunteers in writing and submitting monthly reports and court reports.
Keep current on case progression and developments and inform volunteers of any/all relevant changes.
Aid communication between volunteers and all other parties involved in case proceedings.
Assist in coordinating public relations with the purpose of recruiting volunteers and increasing public awareness of the CASA program and mission.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, empathy, and respect for the children and families served.
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment.
Ability to deal pleasantly and professionally with the public.
A satisfactory review of Criminal History Check and DHHS Clearance.
Safe driving record.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Desirable Minimum Training and Experience
Associates degree in human services, communications, or other field.
Previous experience working with volunteers, knowledge and understanding of child abuse and neglect, families in crisis, and other social service skills are priorities.
Completion of training in office skills or experience in an office setting.
Data processing training or experience.
