You are invited to join us for a complimentary luncheon to celebrate the vital work of CASA in the community. While there is no charge to attend, we do hope you feel compelled to financially support our mission. Please RSVP at the bottom of the page.
We will be celebrating the 2017 Wayne County Volunteer of the Year!
You will also hear a powerful story from a former CASA youth and how her CASA volunteer stayed by her side throughout the life of the case.
Lunch & Learn with CASA:
Michigan CASA is a non-profit organization that promotes and supports the development of quality of quality CASA programs. These programs empower everyday citizens to become appointed members of the court system in order to act on behalf of abused or neglected children as they pass through the family court system. Our focus is to serve these children in child protective proceedings by appointing carefully screened and trained community volunteers to advocate in the best interest of these children. CASA volunteers serve to present information to the court, reduce the time a child spends in out of home care, and provide continuity for the child by having at least one person who is involved with the case from the beginning until the end. they become a voice for the voiceless.
