Michigan Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) invites you to a night of advocacy as we experience the difference a CASA volunteer can make in the life of a child in foster care.

Right now, there are more than 14,000 children in Michigan who are living in foster care because they have been abused and neglected. 

Fourteen thousand. 

Their best hope for a brighter future lies in having a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). A CASA is a trained community volunteer who  meets weekly with the child, examines their case and the people involved in it, and speaks for the child’s best interest when his or her case is heard in family court. 

A CASA walks alongside the child for their entire stay in foster care—no matter how long that is. 

A CASA is the one consistent caring adult in most of these children’s lives. 

A CASA makes an enormous difference.

Michigan CASA supports programs in 30 counties in Michigan. Today we can serve just 1500 children in those 30 counties. That leaves more than 12,000 children without a voice, without a friend, without support and guidance. Please join us in our mission to make every child's voice heard.
